300 Hour yoga teacher training Bali
Samdhana believes in a quality experience to flourish and thrive individually as well as collectively. We are excited to offer another amazing and epic journey into the Self as you deepen your practice and teaching during our 300 hour advanced yoga teacher training in the Island of the Gods, Bali.
What makes our course so uniquely special?
We have carefully selected two different locations in 2020 for your unique Bali experience: the first three weeks in the monastic rainforest, then to the famous surf coast of Balian. From mountain to seaside, our 300 Hour YTT offers you a plethora of experiences that will make this journey memorable and heart felt. In the mountains, we immerse deeply into silence as we review and explore the YogaWorks method and refine our teaching skills. You will get to teach regularly to the local villagers and receive feedback from mentors.
The focus and attention in the first three weeks sets the tone for our seaside experience in Balian. Here, there will be a little more space to enjoy surfing, beach walks and sunset gazing whilst continuing to dabble in several elective courses that will greatly expand your horizons and skill set as a teacher.
Because Samdhana believes in authenticity with deep, human connection we feel it is important to offer special organized activities that we, as a community, can enjoy together. We don’t believe in cramming information into your brain with no space to enjoy each other, live out the practice, and form what we have found to be lifelong, soul connections and relationships. Our students always thrive and love the family feel we create together. And also, why fly all the way to Bali without seeing some of the most epic areas that make Bali so special and transformative a location? We include visits with healers, cacao ceremony, snorkeling (weather and tide permitting), trips to Ubud, sound healing journeys, and more. So while it is an immersive format, you also get a little retreat time, too.
What does “advanced” training mean?
The general yoga population might define an “advanced” practice as getting into more complicated shapes: a deeper backbend, a deeper forward bend, a fancy inversion. In general, moving towards greater flexibility. But with yoga injuries on the rise, (namely within the long-term practitioner and yoga teacher populations), we enhance your teaching skills at the 300 hour level by introducing to you a more refined thinking and assessment process that recognizes (and teaches to) individual needs and limitations. We invite a much needed, deeper layer of personal inquiry by exploring a number of electives as key areas to advance your teaching, and practice in a more sustainable way: through understanding somatic movement, functional anatomy and functional range conditioning, closing the gap between active mobility and passive flexibility, mindfulness, meditation, refined cueing and coaching, and much much more. Our aim is to expand the idea of “advanced” to include the latest evidence-based research in the fields of human movement, pain and neuroscience, meditation, FRC, somatic movement, and more. We will also include social and environmental permaculture as part of our philosophy discussions and practicum.
Sustainable teaching practices involve specialized assessment skills and teaching to individual needs in order to: improve strength, proprioception, interoception, mobility, neurological control, fascial and joint integrity, balance the nervous system, and move from and connect more deeply with the breath. How that looks from individual to individual is different, and therefore, we expand your teaching repertoire to address a wider population.
Our Advanced Teacher Training module includes an intensive review of our 200 Hour YTT. Whether you graduated from our 200 hour or not, you will have adequate exposure to understand the method before the advanced course begins.
If you have not graduated from our 200 Hour YTT, you are encouraged to register as soon as possible and join our online forum designed to prepare you for the 300 hour course. You will receive all 200 hour manuals, regular assignments and check-in’s to insure you are prepared.
