Bali has become a well-known hub for all things spiritual, with the environment conducive for deeper practice and introspection. Between the mountains and the seaside, our courses offer a plethora of exciting opportunities to immerse in Balinese culture: attending a wedding ceremony, visiting a temple, hiking through terrace rice fields, observing funeral or teeth filing rituals. When you are at the seaside, take advantage of surf opportunities or lounge on the beach, or swim with manta rays at nearby Nusa Penida. In the quietude of the mountains, we enjoy a more monastic, ashram-like experience with the echoes of priests chanting through the rice fields reminding us how sacred and special Bali truly is.

Schedule for 2017 :

Journey into the Self : A Mindful Living Retreat to Spark Connection, Creativity and Intuition”, taught in English and Romanian.

October 10-19, 2017

We often lose ourselves in relationships whether as a parent or partner, in our job or when our health fails us. When disconnection arises, we stop living the lives we were meant to live. Depression, anxiety, insomnia, digestive disorders are just a number of stress-related symptoms that we face when we are not living our dharma.

Join Alicia Cheung and Alina Grecu for an intimately heartfelt and adventurous, “Journey into the Self: A Mindful Living Retreat to Spark Connection, Creativity and Intuition”.

This mindfulness-based retreat will not only leave you feeling reconnected and refreshed, but it will also provide you with a plethora of opportunities to explore Bali, also known as the Island of the Gods. You will embark on a personal journey of self-transformation and love and also get a real taste of Balinese culture and its many special rituals and practices.

We will head first to the quietude of the mountains surrounded by dense, tropical rainforest and lush, (organically grown) rice fields. Leaving behind the hustle and bustle of the city, you will instead immerse yourself in this beautiful landscape with the delightful sounds of nature-cicadas, chanting priests, frogs, and some of Bali’s most tropical birds singing their song throughout the day.

Our retreat will conclude on the Eastern coast of Bali amidst surf, sun and sand. Situated near one of Bali’s most famous surf breaks, you will be able to enjoy the surf whether you are a surfer yourself or just lay by the pool and lounge in the off time.

The island of Bali, also known as the Island of the Gods, is one of the most spiritually and culturally dense areas of Indonesia. As the only Hindu island, the Balinese people take pride in their religion, full of rituals and prayer, chanting and doing daily offerings to the gods. When you come to our Bali retreat, you too will immerse in rituals and mindfulness activities that will awaken spirit and allow you to step into your life in a more embodied, more loving and ever present way.

This course will be taught in English and Romanian.

YogaWorks 200-Hour Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training Retreat, East coast. Applications accepted

November 1 to December 1, 2017

Set at the base of the beautiful volcano, the majestic view at our private location serves as both a back drop and platform for deeper, spiritual transformation. Blessed with the surround sound and beauty of the rain forest, every day is an invitation to visit hot springs, waterfalls, trek through rice terraces or visit the famous temple, Pura Luhur Batukaru. Day trips during the off time might include: a sunrise climb to the 2300 meter summit of Batukaru, a visit to the lakes along the North, or spending a day at the Buddhist monastery and hot springs. The Balinese people in our local village also welcome you to participate in local, cultural ceremonies.

Such a pristine area makes it naturally conducive for an all-organic garden. We serve healthy, organic meals three times a day and cater to vegetarian and non-vegetarian alike. Water is pristine and fresh from mountain springs and rivers that it sources their 20 meter pool before flowing through to outlying rice paddies. In 2012, this beautiful area became a part of the Unesco World Heritage Site.

The program includes retreat/workshop days sprinkled throughout the program to allow for getting over jet lag, time to acclimate to water, food and weather, and also have a little fun and see other parts of Bali. During the off time we will offer optional trips to Ubud, the spiritual hub and center of Bali, as well as a trip to the famous local temple, and a snorkeling trip (weather permitting) swimming with huge manta rays if we’re lucky (and we’ve been lucky every time)!

This training is also special in that we participate in community service projects at the end of the program. Previous projects have included teaching yoga to special needs children, prenatal and senior classes, working at a cat shelter, and donating clothes and prenatal vitamins to local organizations. This is such a beautiful, heart felt experience for both you and the people of Bali.

Here is what a typical day will look like. We will practice and study 6 days consecutively, with 1-2 days off :
